It had been on an internal network that used a management server to pass definitions and patches to the clients. MekTek MTX client

I recently found a group that is re-releasing a free version of Mechwarrior 4. Initially, the MW4 project release was rumored to be held up by Microsoft. I’m sure there were a few licensing issues that needed to be ironed out. The group is MekTek and to download the release, you have to download and install a (what appears to be) mangled bittorrent/http client that acts a little like the Steam client in many ways. *UPDATED 5-3-10* Read the rest of this entry »

hp P3005 series formatter board problems

I’ve been a fan of HP printers since the mid 90’s when I was given a LaserJet IIIp. It was a workhorse and in the 12 or so years that I owned it, the only maintenance I performed was the replacement of a fuser bulb. The Laserjet 4 series was just as reliable and many of this series are still in use.
