Army Men RTS dll call crashed resolution

For those that still want to play Army Men RTS on their modern systems, you may have a problem installing the game. After you accept the installation terms and EULA, an error appears with the message that a dll call has crashed. From my investigation, I believe this to be due the amount of memory on the system installing the game. Here’s the (somewhat) simple solution.

never forget your toothbrush

While traveling this week, I forgot my toothbrush. I’ve needed to use the “complimentary” items hotels offer before, but it’s always been just shampoo or a comb. After this week, I’m duct taping a toothbrush to the inside of my suitcase so it will always be there. Read on for why.

Awesome wireless installation

Take a guess at what wireless router lies above the ceiling tileOk, I am staying at a hotel this week and they offer high-speed wireless internet. The hotel isn’t that bad, but their method of wireless installation leaves a little to be desired.

Can anyone guess what wireless router is upside down above the ceiling tile? I would also guess it took about 10 minutes per access point to install these, and I saw two in the same hallway which would make me believe the whole place was done this way.

LG DVD writers don’t like external USB enclosures

Just a quick note for those who may be looking to try shoving their LG DVD/CD writer into an external USB enclosure. Chances are, it won’t work. Symptoms include errors mentioning “disc at once” problems immediately after trying to burn the disc.

I ran into this over the weekend, but the drive works fine as an internal drive. From searching through forum threads, this is pretty common to LG optical drives.
