In this episode of random stuff you’ll learn how to find some excellent Windows/Office quick references, get the scoop on some site changes, and stumble onto some odd websites.
First the educational.
If you need some quick reference guides for Microsoft Windows or Office, do a Google search for the following phrase, (without the quotes) “customguide filetype:pdf site:.edu”
Find PowerPoint guides: “powerpoint customguide filetype:pdf site:.edu”
Find Word guides: “word customguide filetype:pdf site:.edu”
Find Windows cheatsheets: “windows customguide filetype:pdf site:.edu”
I’ll let you figure out more of those, you get the idea. Just substitute other office titles or windows versions in before the word customguide in the searches.
Site changes:
I’ve added a page called Friends. Click About at the top and you’ll see it listed there. If you read this site regularly and have a related site, go to the Friends page and follow the link to add yourself.
Also, you’ll see a work in progress called Policies. I figured I should add it in to let people know I don’t offer paid reviews that aren’t declared as such. No deception here, I’ll tell you if I’m being paid to give you my thoughts on something.
