A very generous friend and former co-worker gave me a gift certificate to Hotel Strasburg (in Strasburg, Virginia) for Christmas this year. After making reservations, my wife and I ate dinner there last evening. I had always heard good things about Hotel Strasburg, but had never eaten there myself. I’ve had the same Magnavox 19″ TV for over ten years now. It was near top of the line for it’s screen size when I got it back in 1997 with its stereo speakers, captioning, SAP, onscreen menus, and all. It’s still working well, so I can’t justify the 32″ Sony Bravia I’d like to get. Read the rest of this entry »

I don’t know if I can take much more of this global warming. It’s five below zero outside this morning and I don’t think the temperature’s risen above freezing for a couple days now. It wasn’t the entire reason, but keeping your money local is important to your area’s economy, and helps out those who have jobs in your community.
