I started playing video games on the PC about the time Wolfenstein 3D came out. For the 386 (I think) I had at the time, it was pushing the limits of gaming. see hidden picture information with exif viewer
When you take a picture with your digital camera, it records more than just the picture you saw. Digital cameras store extra information with each snap of the shutter. Sometimes the information is simply the camera model, original size, aperture and shutter settings, and additional image related data. Sony 8mm EV-A60 player-recorder VCR for sale
As I mentioned in other articles, I have a late-90’s Sony 8mm camcorder. It uses 8mm cassettes which work well, but don’t fit in standard VCRs. Since the recorded media is analog, it requires playback to a capture card to digitize onto a PC for editing. Connecting the camera is cumbersome and requires a lot of cables, and time. My old Hi8 camcorder, a Sony Handycam (with niteshot) still works, but any digital editing requires re-recording to a computer in realtime. While this works to get it in digital form, it’s time consuming and an overall hassle. The Handycam had some nice features that I modified heavily, but that’s another topic.
I have a RIM Blackberry Pearl that is probably a year old now. It’s a red model that I never used for email or text. For some reason the “smart” suretype keyboard and I never were able to get along. The only reason I kept it was because I absolutely loved the fact I had a small, slim phone with a decent camera and usable address book.
Although it wasn’t necessarily rugged, I could slip it my pocket and go. Until today, that is. Read the rest of this entry »
