Do you have an “Unknown Device” floating around in your Device Manager? Sometimes (ok, a lot of times), Windows just doesn’t have the drivers included for your hardware. Here’s how to find what device is unknown and how to locate the drivers for it.

As you may notice, I’m not running Google Ads right now on this site, (although I may again in the future) and there are a few simple reasons. There are some complaints surfacing about incompatibilities between Norton Internet Security and Firefox 3. Evidently, Norton Security is evidently the application at fault, as it can even erase browser history and bookmarks. A quote from Mozilla’s configuration page to address this problem states:
Norton 360 can sometimes erase Firefox’s browsing history and bookmarks. It also includes an “Eavesdropping Protection” feature, which can mis-identify Firefox and prevent it from working properly.
Norton has issued patches to address the problems, but evidently there are still problems occurring after the patches are applied.
