imagine your heart dialing 911 in the event of a heart attack

It’s estimated that by 2011, your heart could call for emergency services if it is suffering a heart attack. Your blood sugar dropping too low? No worries, help is already on the way. The technology involved works much like the bluetooth devices already in use for cell phones, and other personal devices.

A sensor inside your body could detect the problem and call for help before you even knew anything was amiss. Read the rest of this entry »

comment and win worthless stuff

Ok, here’s the first of a few Comment and Win posts I will randomly scatter throughout the month of May. I recently tried to archive a mailbox in Outlook 2003 and got the error..wait for it… “Unknown Error”. Literally, that’s all there was to it, no codes, no indication of where the error occurred, nothing.  Here’s how I went about solving it. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday morning, a group of five choppers flew over our house and I was able to get a couple of pictures. Click each title to see them…they’re pretty large.

Five at actual distance (yes, that’s my gutter at the side- I put it in the picture for reference..yeah, that’s the ticket)

Zoom of four with weapon mounts and rotor blades visible (one chopper has no weapon mounts)

another zoom of four as they move away
