If you’ve ever been in a situation where your cellphone has died either by drowning or droppage, you may find this tip useful. I know it works with Cingular/ATT because I’ve done it, but other carriers may be able to do this as well. If you use ATT/Cingular, go to your local big-box store and buy an ATT go-phone. Open the phone and remove the battery, pop your ATT sim card in and you’re ready to go for ~$20. I had a RAZR that stopped working right, so I did this to get by until I can get another phone. The go-phones don’t have many features, but they can read your address book from your sim.
