Secure your public wi-fi access with freeware tool
I published an article a few days ago on giving your data to thieves. Here’s a tool to solve one of the problems, public wireless internet hotspots. As a quick recap, unless the sites you are visiting are secured, your data in a public access hotspot goes unencrypted over the air to everyone else as well as to the access point you are connected to. There’s a new freeware tool to fix that problem. It runs all of your traffic over a free encrypted tunnel to prevent prying eyes from getting your data.
AnchorFree is offering their HotSpotShield for free with 10GB of data transfer every month. 10GB/month is a lot of data to push over a public access point too. You can download it and register at their site HotSpotShield
