Wal-mart dropping Linux PCs from stores
Walmart will no longer be selling the gPC on store shelves. The customer interest in the $199 PC wasn’t high enough according to company spokespersons. The computer uses a VIA processor, 512MB of RAM, an 80GB hard disk, but did not include a monitor. Only 600 stores nationwide stocked the computer prior to the announcement, but will still be offered online at the retailer’s website in the future. [source]
